WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL
Welcome to a new school year! I hope that you all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. Summer is a great time for rejuvenation and preparation for the new school year. While I would not consider my summer to have been relaxing (as I made the long journey from Northern Alberta to Carseland), it was full of excitement and anticipation. This was, in part, due to the fact I am excited to see what the new school year has in store for me, and I am thrilled to be part of the Carseland School team!
Although my time at Carseland School has been short-lived, it is already apparent to me that the school is a caring and supportive environment conducive to building relationships and fostering learning. The staff members have been working hard throughout the summer in order to ensure that when the students and their families step foot in the school doors on September 2nd, they feel welcomed and a sense of excitement for the possibilities that the new school year may bring.
Please know too that at Carseland School, the home and school connection is important to us. Feel free to contact me at the school if ever you have questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself. Meet the Teacher Night, which is scheduled for September 4th, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, would be the perfect time for you to stop by and meet, not only myself, but all of the teachers at Carseland School. That would also be a great way to start the year, for working together only enhances a child's educational experiences.
I hope you enjoy what is left of your summer, and are looking forward to the new school year!
Principal, Carseland School
Carseland teachers will be hosting a Meet the Teacher Night on September 4th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Students and their families are encouraged to stop by the school and visit with the staff. It will be a great first step in building the home and school connection this year.
Hot lunch program will continue to run on Wednesdays. Please stay tuned for more information regarding the first Wednesday in which it will operate.
Red communication folders will continue to go home on Wednesdays. As in previous years, the folders will contain pertinent information. Please look for these folders on Wednesdays, and ensure that your child returns the folder to school the following day.
