OCTOBER - PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE |

OCTOBER - PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

October 1, 2014

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

I believe that I can say, with a great deal of confidence, that the staff and students of Carseland School have enjoyed a fabulous start to the year!

The level of commitment and enthusiasm the students of Carseland bring to their daily work, activities, and events, truly is amazing.  Proof of such commitment and enthusiasm is not hard to find.  The quality of work posted on the bulletin boards in the hallways, the percentage of kids who take part in school spirit days, the pride displayed when virtue leaves are awarded, and the enthusiasm for the Terry Fox run are just a few examples that exemplify the great deal of commitment and enthusiasm displayed by Carseland students this past month.

Perhaps the students get their positive outlook for learning experiences from their folks!  Given the many ways in which Carseland parents were actively involved in activities and events this month, this could definitely be the case!  Without the support of our parents, our staff and students would not be able to order a hot lunch weekly, and events such as the Terry Fox Run and Highway Clean-Up would not run as smoothly.   Many thanks go out to the parents who were able to stop by for Meet the Teacher Night as well.  For those who were unable to attend, we hope to see you at Parent Teacher Interviews in November.

Just a reminder too though, that evenings such as Meet the Teacher Night and Parent Teacher Interview Nights are not the only times in which parents can stop by and visit with staff.  Please feel free to contact the staff at Carseland at any point in time.

Given the path that September took, I expect great things in October.  As Carseland School recently took part in the Terry Fox run, I leave you with this:

“How many people do something they really believe in? I just wish people would realize that anything’s possible if you try. Dreams are made, if people try.”

~ Terry Fox~

Have a great October, and remember that our facebook page, school website, red communication folders, and agendas are all great ways to keep in touch and see what is in store each month.

Sincerely,

Miss. Seabrook
