March seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. Perhaps it was because we were so busy here at Carseland School. Alien In-Line Skating was a big hit with the kids across the grades, and it proved to be a very rewarding experience. As one grade two boy said, “I wish we could do in-line skating every day of every year!” The students in grades 1-6 also had an opportunity to take part in an option session. By the end of the year, students will have had the chance to make homemade ice cream, create some origami, explore soap bubbles, learn some Yoga stretches, make and decorate cake pops, and learn O’Canada in French. The staff had just as much fun as the kids, in part due to the opportunity that they had to work with kids across the grades. March ended with a bang, as many students in grades 3-6 hit the slopes at Nakiska. The weather was on our side, which helped to make the day that much more enjoyable. Seeing the kids progress throughout the course of the day was exciting to see. We also took time to recognize those students who received the term 2 PrinciPAL Award. A big congratulations goes out to Daiton, Liam, Chase, Rohdy, Rodney, Logan and Kerris. Despite the many activities that took place out of the classroom in March, the kids still persevered and worked hard on their academics.
The staff at Carseland School would like to wish everyone a relaxing and fun-filled spring break!
