Principal's Message December

Dear Parents,

Wow December here already! Our students are busy preparing for our Christmas concert which is on December 18th at 7:00pm. We will again be having a bake sale and we are also asking each family to bring an item or two for our food bank collection. The School doors will be open at 6:30 p.m.

Our volleyball team has been practicing hard at recess and lunch recess to prepare for the Wheatland volleyball tournament that goes this Tuesday December 3rd from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

In the month of December our virtue is generosity. In the spirit of giving, the school is having its annual food hamper drive. We will send detail home and posted them on Facebook. During the week of December 12th-December 16th our school will be participating in our annually Christmas hamper program to help needy people in our community. There will be designated themes each day, however, any non-perishable item is valuable and appreciated on any day.

There will be a team challenge! The Cheetahs, Panthers and Jaguars will earn one point for every item brought in by team members.

December 12th – canned items (soup, fruit, tuna…)

December 13th – rice and pasta (Kraft dinner, sauce…)

December 14th – breakfast items (cereal, peanut butter, jam, juice…)

December 15th – bathroom items (toilet paper, soap, toothpaste…)

December 16th – Miscellaneous items (any non-perishable food items)

I would like to thank all of the parents/guardians and students that came to the student led conferences. Our students love to be involved in showcasing what they have accomplished so far this school year.

Also thank you to all of the families that brought in shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. There were 35 boxes donated this year.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Concert,

Have a great month of December!

 Jeff  Grimsdale
